This Wednesday 29 April sees the much awaited return of The Heavy Horns to Scarborough Jazz. Featuring three of the finest sax-players in the country complete with their own rhythm section of piano, bass and drums.
Fronted by Rod Mason, Jim Corry and Stuart Macdonald, this six piece are probably one of the most powerful bands you will ever hear at The Cask.
Featuring soprano, alto. tenor, baritone and bass saxes you can expect some great arrangements and fine solos from this popular line up.
Rod Mason is now with the legendary Back Door, but has also shared stages with many of the greats including Peter King, Don Weller, Jim Mullen and Guy Barker,
Jim Corry tours extensively with Jamiroquai and has played all over the world with artistes such as Corinne Bailey Rae and Duran Duran.
Stuart Macdonald has graced the stage with many jazz notables including Jean Toussaint, Gerard Prescencer, Andy Sheppard and Tommy Smith.
This gig has been sponsored by Marion Gordon as part of her Birthday celebrations and, as a result of this, we can bring you one of the finest bands you will ever hear for just £5.
